In addition to kadha, you may also consider taking Dabur Sitopaladi Churna that is made using medicinal plants like pippalai, vanshalochan, cinnamon etc. When taken as per the recommended dosage by a healthcare professional, it acts as an expectorant and provides relief from cough and cold.
In addition to consuming kadha and ayurvedic remedies regularly throughout the day, practicing steam inhalation with essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint can further assist in relieving nasal congestion associated with colds.
