Union Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha highlighted the integration of Ayurveda into mainstream nutrition and wellness. He believes Ayurveda can reshape the global food landscape with its sustainable and preventive health solutions. "Ayurveda has the potential to transform the global food landscape by offering sustainable and preventive health solutions," he stated.

The Ministry of Ayush showcased Ayurveda's role in modern nutrition at World Food India 2024, held at Pragati Maidan from September 19 to September 22. The Ayush Pavilion highlighted Ayurveda Aahar, a concept merging traditional wisdom with modern food solutions, attracting international interest.

Ayurveda Aahar's Global Appeal
Ayurveda Aahar offers scientifically backed dietary solutions promoting holistic health, according to Kotecha. After visiting the Ayush Pavilion on World Food India's opening day, he emphasised its potential in addressing global health challenges through sustainable practices. The pavilion featured Ayurvedic dietary products targeting lifestyle disorders like diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. It demonstrated how Ayurvedic ingredients can be integrated into daily meals to improve overall health and well-being.

Interactive Exhibits and Expert Consultations
Live demonstrations and consultations with Ayurvedic nutrition experts were part of the pavilion's offerings. These sessions provided personalised dietary advice based on individual body types or Prakriti, as per Ayurvedic principles.

Yoga also featured prominently with live demonstrations and Yoga therapy sessions. This addition further showcased the holistic approach of Ayurveda in promoting wellness.

Future Plans for Ayurveda Aahar

The Ministry plans to develop standardised guidelines for Ayurvedic foods. They aim to collaborate with international regulatory bodies to introduce Ayurveda Aahar to global markets. "We are committed to promoting research and innovation in this field," Kotecha added. Senior dignitaries and global stakeholders attended the event, underscoring India's rich tradition of Ayurveda-inspired food practices. Discussions focused on partnerships for further research and product development in Ayurveda Aahar.

The Ayush Pavilion's success at World Food India 2024 highlights the growing interest in traditional medicine systems. By blending ancient wisdom with modern needs, Ayurveda offers promising solutions for contemporary health challenges worldwide.
