Ayurveda gained global recognition due to extraordinary healing merits: MLA

Mysuru: Former minister and Chamundeshwari MLA GT Devegowda, on Thursday, said ayurvedic medicine which offers many health benefits has today received recognition across the globe due to its extraordinary healing merits.

Speaking after inaugurating ‘Ayush Seva Grama’ at Lingambudhi Palya, which was organised by the Department of Ayush to promote ayurveda, the MLA said: “Ayurveda has proved its health benefits and it can control all five senses of the human body. We have to consider Ayurveda as part of life more than as a medicine.” “People still have misconceptions about ayurveda and they have to be educated about its benefits, "Devegowda said. Ayush officer Dr Pushpa and village leaders Devaiah, Yogesh, Bangarappa, Ramanna, Lakshmaiah, and others were present.
