The State government will explore opportunities for exporting Ayurveda medicines and products manufactured by Oushadhi, a State government enterprise, to Germany and sign a formal MoU soon.
A consensus regarding this was arrived at a meeting between a visiting German delegation and the State Ayush authorities here on Monday. Health Minister K.K. Shylaja, who chaired the meeting, said that a final decision would be taken after consulting the Chief Minister.
An Ayurveda seminar and trade fair will be conducted in Germany to propagate Ayurveda treatment methods. The State is willing to provide the necessary human resources and to cooperate with the medical fraternity in Germany to ensure that authentic, guideline-based Ayurveda treatment is promoted in Germany.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary (Health) Rajan Khobragade, Director of Ayush Mission Kesavendra Kumar, Director of Indian Systems of Medicine K.S. Priya, Oushadhi representatives, and senior Ayush officials.
