Nagpur: The National Ayurveda Student and Youth Association (NASYA) is hosting the ‘International Book of Records for the Largest Class of Ashtang Hridayam’ on January 28 at the Suresh Bhat Hall. The record effort is part of NASYA’s initiative to unite youngsters in the field of ayurveda. Over a thousand students, teachers, practitioners and ayurveda enthusiasts will be attending the programme.
Organizing secretary Dr Abhijit Munshi said at a press conference held on Friday that Dr Asit Kumar Panja from the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, along with other ayurveda experts will be leading the class and simplifying the concepts of Ashtang Hridayam.
The event will have a panel discussion by experts in the field of ayurveda, including Dr Manoj Nesari (advisor, ministry of AYUSH), Dr Raghuram Bhatt (NCISM), Dr Milind Suryawanshi (CCRAS), Dr Govindprasad Upadhyay (RAV), Dr Kartar Singh Dhiman (VC, Ayush University Kurukshetra), Dr Sukumar Sardeshmukh (MD Atharva Ayurveda Pharmacy), and Dr Priti Desai (principal, Ayurveda College, Balaghat).
National vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Pravin Datke will be the cief guest while national secretary of BJYM Shivani Dani will be the guest of honour. The event will highlight the rich heritage of ayurveda, organisers said.
