Kishtwar: Department of Ayush in collaboration with District Administration Kishtwar organised twin mega camps under the ongoing Yoga Mahotsava -a prelude to the International Yoga Day.
As per the guidelines from the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India yoga camps were conducted under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav and close guidance of District Nodal Officer Ayush Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal.
First camp was organised at Helipad Dool in Collaboration with L&T Company. The Yoga session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff of L&T Company who heartedly engaged in various Yoga Asanas.
Around 70 participants participated in the Yoga session. DGM L&T Company and officials of the company also coordinated in the Yoga Camp.
Another mega Yoga Camp was conducted at District Hospital where students of ANM School and patients of Drug de addiction Centre participated and performed Yoga Asanas. They were taught different methods of meditation and their benefits.
The event was coordinated by Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr Yudhvir Singh, teaching facility of ANM College and Staff of DH. About 73 participants practiced yoga in the camp.
The arrangement for the smooth conduct of camps was made by the team of Ayush Kishtwar -Dr. Taraq Hussain, Dr. Atul Kumar, Dr. Monika Sharma, Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Vidya Lal, Satwik Sharma, Dev Raj, Ritu Sharma and. Seema Devi along with the management of District Hospital Kishtwar and L&T Company.
