Ayurvedic Medical Council of Tripura has finally and officially started the registration for Ayurvedic Medical Pass students in Tripura.
The first registration in the state was obtained by Dr. Bingshati Dey, daughter of Tripuras renowned senior journalist Shri Sujit Dey of Dainik Sangbad.
It is reported that yesterday in the presence of Registrar Manoranjan Debbarma, Acting Director of Health Services Professor Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Debbarma handed over the first registration to Dr. Bingshati Dey. On the directives of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, the work of forming the Tripura Ayurvedic Medical Council was accelerated by the initiative of Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, IAS.
It is allaged that the registration of Ayurvedic medical pass students in Tripura through the State Ayurvedic Medical Council was stalled for a long time.
Notably, Tripura Aayurveda Council was constituted long back. But due to some internal issues the registration process was not started for the long time. When Kiran Gitte, IAS took the charges as the health secretary, he reconstituted the Tripura' ayurveda medical council on April 17 and instructed to start the registration process soon. It is reported that the reconstitution of this council will benefit the Ayurveda doctors of the state immensely. Ayurveda medical students will get the opportunity to get higher education from now on through All India Counselling.
Notably, Tripuras first recipients of registration, Dr. Bingshati Dey got admission in Madan Mohan Malvya Ayurveda College Udaipur Rajasthan in 2017 under state government quota. From there she passed in 2021-22 academic year. She completed her internship in 2022-23 academic year. After receiving the offline registration as an Ayurvedic doctor from the Tripura' ayurveda medical council, Dr. Bingshati Dey, expressed her appreciation as well as gratitude to Dr. Manik Sahar and Health secretary Kiran Gitte and his team for such initiative. But for this the online registration process has not started yet. It has been allagged that the online registration process has been stalled for a long time in the State Information Technology Department.
