Global ayurveda, health tourism summits today

Kochi: The fifth edition of Global Ayurveda Summit and 10th edition of Kerala Health Tourism conference will begin at Angamaly on Thursday.

The two-day long event organised by the Kerala chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is supported by the ministry of ayush, and state government. 

Over 400 delegates from different countries, including from the UK, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Czech Republic, are expected to participate.

Former prime minister of Kenya Raila Amolo Odinga and former health minister of Oman Dr Ahmed Mohammed Obaid are attending the event, the organisers said. 

The conclave is expected to be a venue of the convergence of healthcare providers, industry leaders and stakeholders, government, and academia to promote Kerala as a preferred destination for health tourism.

An exhibition to showcase the strengths of ayurveda and healthcare with key players in the sector showcasing their products and services will also be held.
