Gorakhpur to host International conference on Ayurveda

Gorakhpur: Mahayogi Gorakhnath University in Gorakhpur will host a three-day international conference on Ayurveda, Yoga, and the Nath tradition from Jan 12 to 14. Organised by Guru Gorakhnath Institute of Medical Sciences (Ayurveda College), the event will attract delegates from various countries. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will deliver a special lecture on Jan 13, focusing on the contributions of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Nath tradition to humanity.
The inaugural session on Jan 12 at 11:30 am in the Panchakarma Auditorium will be chaired by Dr G N Singh, advisor to CM Yogi. Israeli Ayurveda expert Guy Levin will be the chief guest. AYUSH University VC Prof A K Singh and Sri Lankan Ayurveda specialists Prof Piriyani Peris and Dr Mayaram Uniyal will be present on the occasion.
The closing ceremony on Jan 14 will be led by vice-chancellor Prof Surinder Singh. Notable guests will include Sri Lankan expert Dr Virarthna, Israeli expert Aunt Levin, Dr V N Joshi from the England Ayurveda Association, and Dr Tanmay Goswami from Goswal Foundation, Udupi. Five scientific sessions will explore the interconnections between Ayurveda, Yoga, and Nath tradition.
