Uttarakhand starts training Allopathy Doctors in Ayurveda

DEHRADUN: A six-day 'Practical training on ayurveda for government medical oficers of Uttarakhand to promote wellnes concept' in order to promote the combination of ayurveda and allopathy treatments began on Monday. 

A special training module for the doctors has been made by both the government universities together -- Uttarakhand Ayurveda University and HNB Medical Education University. In the first batch, over two dozen doctors are undertaking the training. Reacting to the training, a senior doctor said, "These are diktats that are being imposed on us. None of the allopathic doctors would want to undergo any other training after going through intensive studies and practice in allopathy. Such steps would only create create confusion." Shivani Azad
