Empowerment Through Engagement: Lajja's Workshop at Shoolini University Marks a Milestone in Women's Health Advocacy
  12-Apr-24 07:07:58

The "HerStory, HerHealth" workshop, a collaborative effort between Lajja and Shoolini University, has recently concluded, making a significant impact on its attendees. This event, which drew in around 100 participants including students, healthcare experts, and volunteers, aimed to illuminate crucial women's health issues such as UTIs, PCOS, menstrual health, and mental well-being.

Hosted at Shoolini University's campus, the workshop was a cornerstone of Lajja’s mission to enhance women's health through education and open conversation. The event received notable support from sponsors like Boheco and Hursini, who provided hemp-based menstrual pain relief products and Arabica coffee with hemp seed powder, respectively, as prizes for the quiz winners.

A standout feature was the interactive panel discussion led by notable figures including Shreya Batra, psychologist; Dr. Piyush Juneja, Founder of IndianVaidyas; Aastha Sharma, co-founder of Lajja and registered nurse in Australia; and Disha Sareen, co-founder of Lajja and HyperLab AI. The dynamic and engaging format fostered a rich dialogue, with topics ranging from sexual health to postpartum depression, all projected for communal viewing and discussion.

The event was characterized by its interactive nature, with quizzes that tested and engaged the audience, alongside innovative activities like a "vibe check" to visually represent the attendees' sentiments. The use of live questionnaires allowed for real-time interaction and deeper exploration of sensitive and crucial topics.

The closing of the workshop saw enthusiastic participants seeking personal consultations, reflecting the event's success in sparking interest and demand for more knowledge on women's health. The positive response and active engagement highlighted the necessity for such informative platforms that not only educate but also create a supportive community for addressing women's health issues.

"HerStory, HerHealth" was not just an event but a catalyst for ongoing discussion and empowerment in women's health, with Lajja at the forefront of this transformative journey.
